7:30 -Boat launch and warm up
8:00 – Start paddling out towards Herring Island
9:00 – Arrive for the Yarra River Blitz even opening, which will include an Aborigine land blessing ceremony.
9:30 – 11:30 Participate in the clean up event.
Dragon boats will stay in the middle of the river away from backs and will help by collecting larger filled up bags from the smaller canoes and kayaks.
11:30 – Event barbeque
13:00 – Paddle back to the hub
Total distance = approx. 16-18kms round trip
